Youth Ambassadors to Nagasaki Ceremony

The city of Nagasaki has invited the city of St. Paul to send two high school students to attend the commemoration ceremony on August 9 in Nagasaki.  Two students, Matilda (Arden) Kavaney from Harding High School and Rafael Gutierrez from Como Park High School will be the youth ambassadors from St. Paul.  They will participate in a youth forum on August 8 and be interviewed by local and national media.  They will be accompanied by Shannen Lach, a teacher of Japanese at Harding High School. We thank the generosity of Nagasaki City Hall for their funding of this experience.
