SPNSCC visits Nagasaki for Okunchi

Every October, the neighborhoods of Nagasaki put on a wonderful event celebrating their city and its history with music, floats, parades, and fun performances.  Although Nagasaki holds many festivals during the year, this is their premier event.  People will travel to Nagasaki on their own and stay in their choice of hotels or AirBNBs.  The 'kickoff' event is Tuesday, October 7.  We will meet our friends in the Nagasaki St. Paul Sister City Committee (NSPSCC) and visit both historic sites like the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Museum but also the contemporary Dejima Wharf area and new City Hall.  For more information, contact spnscc AT gmail DOT com
